So, how can you live an empowered lifestyle today?
For me it's by not giving in. By not giving in to all of the peer pressure to "fit in" and be popular. To not go around acting like everyone else. I don't need to so why should I? Why should I be so weak as to give up and fall in line with the world's standards. Especially since I don't agree with them. Like you said christians are meant to stand out. So why not?
i don't think that temtations arise when your around peers. i think that when you are surrounded by a group of peers that don't share the same expieriences that you do, it causes your walk to become strained. so the only way to avoid becoming strained is to keep a tight group of peers that hold you accountable to your beliefs as a child of God. when you have someone there backing you up, there should never be a doubt to stand out.
